ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH & SAFETY

Many organizations are faced with an increasing level of regulation over the way they operate. This includes regulations to protect the environment, as well as the health and safety of employees and neighbors who may be affected by their operations. Many of these regulations come from various levels of government, but increasingly, the pressure comes from other stakeholders—including lenders, financial markets, organized labor and non-governmental organizations. There is often also pressure from within organizations to follow standards and procedures established to meet corporate goals and objectives. This issue of Technically Speaking reports on how Golder Associates helps clients meet their obligations within the increasingly complex regulatory environments in which they operate.
