NICOLE Network Spring Meeting & Workshop: "CREATING VALUE THROUGH SUSTAINABLE LAND AND ASSET MANAGEMENT"

May 30, 2017

NICOLE (Network for Industrially Co-ordinated Sustainable Land Management in Europe) is a leading forum on industrially co-ordinated sustainable land management in Europe, promoting co-operation between industry, academia and service providers on the development and application of sustainable technologies. The overall objective of NICOLE is to pro-actively enable European industries to identify, assess and manage industrially contaminated land efficiently, cost-effectively, and within a framework of sustainability. NICOLE focuses its activities in three main areas to: provide a European forum for the dissemination and exchange of good practice, practical and scientific knowledge and ideas to manage contaminated land in a sustainable way; stimulate coordinated, interdisciplinary projects on collaborative, problem oriented research and knowledge transfer to address identified needs; and develop new relationships and strengthen existing relationships with other networks.

On June 8 and 9, the NICOLE Network Spring Meeting & Workshop: "Creating value through sustainable land and asset management" will be held in Milan.
The network, of which Golder Associates is a member, has decided to dedicate the Milan meeting to the relationship between asset management (soil), environmental sustainability of the transformation and value creation.

On 9 June at 13:00 Roberto Mezzalama of Golder will present a paper entitled "Go.In sustainable city: a support tool for urban regeneration processes", which will analyze how sustainability assessment tools can support urban regeneration processes in the Italian context.
