Midwestern and South Central US

Client TransCanada PipeLines Limited
Industries Oil & Gas
Services Geologic Hazard Identification, Classification and Mapping, Soil Mapping and Classification, Information Management

TransCanada’s ANR System, a 10,500-mile pipeline system that crosses 16 states from the upper Midwest to Texas and the Gulf Coast of Louisiana.  The assignment involved conducting regional-scale assessment of geologic hazards and soil mapping.

Our Role
Golder assembled a multidisciplinary and closely integrated team of geologists, engineers, and GIS analysts to identify, map, and classify geologic hazards across TransCanada's ANR System. We also classified and mapped soil types, soil drainage characteristics and landform types along the entire on-shore area of TransCanada's ANR System for integration into TransCanada's stress corrosion cracking risk management software.
