Birmingham, Chattanooga, and Pensacola: Golder Expands in the Southeastern U.S. to Meet Client Needs

Driven by demand in the power, manufacturing, transportation, and mining sectors, Golder began expanding our presence in the southeastern United States late last year in the Birmingham (Alabama), Chattanooga (Tennessee), and Pensacola (Florida) areas. While the COVID-19 pandemic has changed the way we work, the message remains clear: Golder is expanding to support our clients in the southeast.

Birmingham, Alabama: “Our Birmingham operations have grown quickly to include over 10 full time staff and serves as the hub of our construction support services in the southeast US” explains Greg Hebeler, Principal in charge of the Birmingham office. “With our existing office in Decatur, Alabama and the new offices in Birmingham and Pensacola, Golder will better serve our clients across all parts of Alabama. There are a range of great growth opportunities for our services in Alabama. Our goal is for Birmingham to be a full-service center for Golder and our clients for many years to come.”

Chattanooga, Tennessee: Golder has opened an office in Chattanooga to support several new projects involving coal combustion residuals (CCR) and dam safety, and to better support existing solid waste and manufacturing clients in the region.

“We are very excited about expanding our operations into Chattanooga. This new office location will allow us to better serve and work more closely with several of our key clients in Tennessee and throughout the region” explains Brent Waters, Southeast US Business Unit Leader.

Pensacola, Florida: As a large manufacturing hub for the US and home to manufacturing companies that span aerospace, ship building, petrochemicals, and more, this key location enables Golder to not only support manufacturing work out of the greater Mobile/Pensacola area, but to also expand support to our power, oil and gas, and governmental sector clients along the Gulf coast.

Jeff Paul, our Principal in charge of this location reports, “For now we are focusing on support of our key clients and getting the word out about Golder’s presence in the area.”
