Golder has been named Best Specialized Engineering Company in Phibrand’s annual Mining Supplier Rankings for 2020. Phibrand is a consulting firm based in Chile that provides socio-economic research on industrial markets, market intelligence, B2B and B2C, entrepreneurship and business acceleration. The objective of the Mining Supplier Ranking is to evaluate the competitiveness of an offer from a large mining supplier, without considering price. The rankings are based on a survey of clients and measures quality of the equipment or service; support service, technical and economic flexibility and reputation. The Best Specialized Engineering Company is a biannual award; Golder also received this honor in 2018.

To determine the final rankings, Phibrand conducts a survey of key client stakeholders responsible for operations (e.g. managers of areas and superintendents) and projects (e.g. directors, project leaders, professionals in charge of pre-feasibility studies, feasibility and other related positions). For the 2020 survey there were a total of 242 responses, which made it possible to determine the winning companies in 11 segments. The Mining Suppliers Ranking is sponsored by Chilean Mining Ministry, Sonami, Asociación de Empresas Consultoras de Ingeniería de Chile (AIC), Aprimin, Altaley and Grupo Editec.
