Golder Associates is pleased to announce that Tony Linardi, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, accepted the esteemed Innovatio Law Department Leadership Award, Small Department in front of peers and colleagues at a Gala dinner in Toronto, hosted by Canadian Lawyer Inhouse, on September 8th.

Tony joined Golder Associates in 2001. He combines a thorough understanding of the business with legal team structures. His focus on efficiency, profitability and effective leadership was recognized at the Canadian InHouse Innovatio Awards – a celebration of in-house counsel in the Canadian legal market.
Leading Golder’s legal inhouse department, Tony guides a team responsible for all legal matters within Golder’s Canadian operation. The primary focus of the legal team is to help minimize and mitigate project risk, in engineering, construction, and consultancy contracts. In addition to this core function, the legal team assists with all corporate affairs matters, both in Canada and globally.
“Recently, Tony redesigned the legal team structure, contract review, and risk review process at Golder which streamlined services, improved response times and quality of reviews,” said Fiona O’Brien, National Insurance Coordinator and Law Clerk. His efforts have allowed us to collaborate and serve our clients more efficiently.”
