Addressing City of Calgary Odor Concerns with Real Time Surveillance System garnered Golder Associates a 2017 Award of Merit from Consulting Engineers of Alberta in the Studies, Software and Special Services Category.
Golder was retained by the City of Calgary (the City) in the spring of 2014 to help to resolve an ongoing issue of identifying the source of foul odors present in residential communities surrounding the City’s Fish Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant. Golder developed and undertook a unique and ongoing air quality monitoring study in partnership with Adair, an Alberta-based company whose technology has been able to effectively locate, measure and continuously monitor local odors in real-time, and to support a safe livable environment for surrounding communities.
