In December of 2018, Golder brought together 200 of our experts from around the world to discuss innovation. From Hong Kong to Lima, from Gothenburg to Accra, from Melbourne to Ankara, from Atlanta to Vancouver, professionals gathered to discover and share advancements in our field and creative solutions for our clients.
At Golder, our people share a common passion for technical excellence and innovation, which is at the core of our culture and is evident in the Technical Communities that encompass the many disciplines within our organization. These groups developed organically from within our vibrant work environment, coordinated by industry leaders in their fields, and are natural incubators of innovation, mentoring, career development, and collaboration.
Competition to participate in this event was fierce, with more than 300 abstracts submitted for consideration. After careful selection, 80 presentations were given on a wide range of groundbreaking topics, from machine learning to advances in PFAS remediation, from innovations in vadose zone flow modeling to insights on Arctic change from an ocean observatory, and from racetrack asphalt pavement technology to overcoming technical and political challenges in brownfields redevelopment.
The conference was considered a great success by all participants and Golder looks forward to repeating this exciting event!
