Nancy Wilk, Principal and Senior Practice Leader in Industrial Hygiene and Environment, Health and Safety with Golder, was recently appointed as Director for a 3-year term to the American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists (ACGIH) Board of Directors.
The ACGIH Board of Directors is responsible to the ACGIH Membership and establishes and appoints members to fifteen working committees, including: Threshold Limit Values for Chemical Substances; Threshold Limit Values for Physical Agents; Agriculture Safety and Health; Air Sampling Instruments; Bioaerosols; Biological Exposure Indices; Education and Outreach; and Industrial Ventilation.
As a Board Member, Nancy is committed to supporting the purpose of ACGIH in advancing occupational and environmental health and ACGIH’s tagline of ‘Defining the Science of Occupational and Environmental Health’. “It is a privilege to be appointed to serve on the ACGIH Board of Directors and a unique opportunity to be of voluntary service to a charitable scientific organization that has served occupational, environmental and health and safety professionals for 80-plus years”, says Nancy. “The importance of collaborating with others working to advance the same purpose around the globe is paramount in my mind.
